CHARLOTTE, NC--June 18, 2013: The Meineke team joined forces with Driven Brands Charitable Foundation to host the 15th Annual Meineke Tournament of Champions at the picturesque The Golf Club at Ballantyne. The fundraising event benefited Carolinas Healthcare System's Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), raising $80,000 for this great cause.

The fundraising effort was spearheaded by more than 160 attendees representing generous vendors, franchisees and employees. PITCH, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts, American Tire Distributors, Web.com and other sponsors contributed by sponsorship donations and provided amazing prizes through both silent and live auction.

"Giving back to our communities, on a local and national level, is at the core of Meineke," said Paul Clayton, President, Meineke.  "This is a testament to the generosity and support of our sponsors, franchisees, volunteers and our employees who are dedicated to helping children in our communities. We have partnered with Children's Miracle Network and have committed to raise over $100,000 per year through joint fundraising promotions."

Meineke, a Driven Brands company, hosted the golf tournament in collaboration with the Driven Brands Charitable Foundation. The Driven Brands Charitable Foundation was formed in 2012 and is fully dedicated to supporting children's health and education causes. The Foundation's goal is to raise awareness and funds to support causes on a local and national level - $5 Million in five years, in furtherance of its vision to imbue its customers, franchisees and employees with a connection to Children's Miracle Network.

"We are thankful to Meineke and the Driven Brands Charitable Foundation for their commitment to help children," said Scott Kerr, Senior Vice President, Carolinas Healthcare Foundation.  "Because of their support, we are able to provide much-needed healthcare to miracle children through our network of hospitals," added Kerr.
