AUTO CENTRAL: As we're about to embark on the MLB league playoffs and World Series, the PC Police are out in force trying to do away with team logos that are, or could be, offensive to various segments of American society, primarily the native peoples and original occupants of what we call the United States of America.

I've thought long and hard on this subject and concluded that it's not the team names or the text typestyles that are offensive, but the graphic image that accompanies the written names. So I've come up with some new graphic suggestions as to how these team logos should look:

WASHINGTON REDSKINS

Why not make use of a previously very famous and well-like brand logo to express the teams' message. The team can then do a cross marketing promotional deal with Coppertone. Smell's like a win-win to me, or is that just the luscious coconut aroma?

ATLANTA BRAVES

This new incarnation lets the Atlanta MLB franchise celebrate America's "braves" - our fantastic military servicemen.

CLEVELAND INDIANS

Who could be offended by the image of one of history's greatest men of peace and understanding? And this presents a wonderful opportunity for the Cleveland stadium to feature a new line of curry-flavored hot dogs, popcorn, and ice cream, topped off with a tall cold Singha beer.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Who are the other great American heros? Our "first responders," of course. So let Kansas City celebrate these fine people with this new team logo. The stadium's name will have to be changed too, but that's no problem. The new name will be Helmet Stadium, which will make for great trash-talking. Just imagine a KC defensive player putting a blast on an opposing player, and when he reaches down to hit the opponent up he says "Welcome to Hell."

So, these are my suggestions, what's yours?
