AUSTIN, TX--Aug. 26, 2013:

WHAT:

The LIVESTRONG Foundation and car2go North America are showing their unified commitment to support those affected by cancer through a nationwide campaign to emphasize the importance of preventative care. Starting today, the Foundation and car2go will surprise members with co-branded gifts in all ten car2go cities in North America.

As part of the collaborative consumption world, car2go members are known for living very active lifestyles that naturally include outdoor activities such as biking, walking, hiking and jogging. The aim of this campaign is to focus on prevention while encouraging habits to safeguard against melanoma.

"Just like car2go helps you get to where you need to go, LIVESTRONG is there to assist cancer patients and survivors at every step of their journey," said Chief Marketing Officer Paul DeLong.

The LIVESTRONG Foundation provides free cancer support services and advocates for policies that improve the lives of cancer survivors today with better access to care and quality of life. The two organizations initially joined forces in 2010 when car2go launched its first North American city in Austin, Texas. Since then, car2go and the Foundation continue to work side by side to improve the communities they serve.
