Last year marked the best ever for Mercedes-Benz Vans in the UK, with 30,257 vans registered – a 21 per cent increase on 2012, also beating 2007’s previous record. In fact, Mercedes-Benz van registrations were up by 21 per cent in a market that increased by 11.7 per cent – nearly double the industry trend.

March 13, 2014: With a greater focus on customers and the markets they serve, Mercedes-Benz Vans not only hopes to continue this success in 2014, but to accelerate it.

As part of the recently announced Mercedes-Benz UK business changes, Mercedes-Benz Vans – headed up by Managing Director Steve Bridge – now encompasses the entire customer journey under one roof, from Product to Sales to Customer Service, which itself comprises of the entire aftersales offering from finance to parts to Service24h.

Steve Bridge explained: “LCV traffic growth in the UK is set to increase by 38 per cent by 2020, with customers more focused than ever before on efficiency measures, downsizing and rightsizing, and pricing.

“We are already growing at a faster rate than the rest of the market thanks to fantastic products covering small, medium and large segments, alternative fuels, specialist vehicles and Approved Used, as well as industry-leading customer service offerings.

“The customer journey doesn’t stop once a vehicle has been purchased however, and it’s down to us to ensure that every customer enjoys the benefits of our complete offering. With that in mind, it made complete sense to bring all of the functions together to work side-by-side with a single focus.

“With a new management team, new tariff-led pricing and new customer service options, Mercedes-Benz Vans in the UK is set to continue the record-breaking trend.”
