You're Hired -- Hard Work Pays Off for Mitsubishi Apprentices

AUTO CENTRAL, UK -- July 28, 2014: EIGHT apprentice vehicle technicians have graduated from the Mitsubishi Motors’ advanced apprentice programme and will now be working in dealerships all over the UK.

The new technicians have come to the end of their three year course of tuition and assessment, carried out at the UK headquarters of Mitsubishi Motors in Cirencester.

The graduates are: Andrew Dixon, 20, from Browns of Preston, Bradleigh Taylor, 22, from Fields of Bromsgrove, Daniel Dennis, 19, from Rodgers of Plymouth, Darren Tennant, 19, from Tweedmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Josh Sykes, 20, from Harratts of Barnsley, Ben Turner, 20, from Souls Milton Keynes, Gillan Robinson, 19, from Struans and Jamie Scott, 19, from Anthony Betts, Hemel Hempstead.

The qualification they now hold is a Level Three Diploma in light vehicle repair from the Institute of the Motor Industry, the professional association for people working in the motor trade.

And they’re naturally delighted that their years of hard work and effort have paid off, and that they can look forward to long and successful careers in the years ahead.

Glyn Lewis, Apprentice Programme Controller for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: “All eight of the guys who started the course have passed which is great news for us and great news for the Mitsubishi dealer network. It’s testament to how focused and committed young people are today. They are a good group, there’s different characters and they’re all comfortable with each other which makes training them better for us.”

Richard Weller, After Sales Director, added: “What these guys have achieved is fantastic and they should all be very proud of themselves. They have done really well to get this far.”

The next batch of apprentice technicians will begin their training in September.
