This will be short and sweet.
The drop in the cost of gasoline is good for Americans, so why is every reporter on the news networks sound like chicken little...the sky is falling the sky is falling.
Our position here on The Auto Channel has been that our country and the free world will prosper when we no longer need to use any petroleum based mobility fuels. When that day comes our insanity of being nice to people and governments that hate a us and our way of life will be history.
No longer will our politicians and bureaucrats continue to suck up to Arab despots, South American dictators as well as our own domestic oil barons who have profiteered too long on our addiction to their smack.
No longer will our young men and woman be called upon to risk their lives to protect the lives and profits of these international shit-heads.
But until then, let's all be happy that those who have lived high on the hog to the determent of the American economy will have to face reality and find productive ways to support their countries and their people.
I guess that when gasoline at 18 cents a gallon as it is today in Venezuela today becomes the normal price here in the U.S. our economy will explode and we can once again build the infrastructure that is the envy of the world.
