ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ -- Jan. 6, 2015: The Italy-based luxury automotive manufacturer marks one hundred years of automotive excellence with a historic record of (13,411 total units sold) in North America this 2014, the Trident's global market leader.

This year closes with a 169 % increase versus 2013, boasting the highest-ever overall sales year for Maserati North America, Inc. The Company closed out the month of December with a record (1,431 units) sold, representing its highest December ever recorded. Maserati has weathered the winter well as the Ghibli and Quattroporte performance sedans – the Trident's top-selling vehicles – keep a firm grip with their all-wheel drive capabilities, sustaining the brand's success across the U.S. and Canada.

As this tremendously significant year for Maserati comes to a close, the company is geared up for another year of automotive achievements. This surge of sales is a huge feat for the once niche luxury automotive manufacturer. Maserati is well on its way to fulfilling its extensive product line-up with the stunning Alfieri 2+2 coupe and convertible, and Levante cross-over SUV on the horizon. Both products will complement Maserati's current line-up, which includes the Ghibli sports sedan (Ghibli, and Ghibli S Q4), Quattroporte super sedan (Quattroporte SQ 4 and Quattroporte GTS), and top-of-the-line GranTurismo. Maserati will also be on hand at the Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) with a special Ghibli SQ4 Ermenegildo Zegna concept on reveal.
