The next installment of A Shunpiker’s Journal begins airing Wednesday, February 11th and will run for about 3 weeks.

Listen live at www.michiganbusinessnetwork.com every Wednesday at 1 PM and 7 PM or every Thursday at 1 AM and 7 AM, or go to the Website, click on “Hosts,” find me, and download the Podcasts.

For this program we’re wrapping up our coverage of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, one of the most important motor shows in the world. Our friend and colleague Bob Giles, publisher of the respected automotive website www.newcarnews.tv, helps us start the show with an overview and a review of our favorites. Then our European correspondent Henny Hemmes from The Hague talks about what she thought of the show overall and some of her highlights. We chat with Otto Rosenbusch, president of the George P. Johnson Company, about the economic impact of the show on the area and his company’s contributions. George P. Johnson develops, engineers and builds close to half of those magnificent manufacturer’s displays. Finally, we talk with Drew Brohpy, Jr. third generation of car enthusiasts involved with the EyesOn Design show on Father’s Day each year. EyesOn Design brings together dozens of the most respected auto designers in the world to judge the best production and concept designs at the auto show. Drew is co-chairman of the awards event.
