MV-1 is the Premier Accessible Vehicle on the Market Today Serving the Mobility Needs of Families, Businesses, Taxi and Paratransit Services across the Country

SOUTH BEND, IN -- Feb. 24, 2015: Mobility Ventures will showcase the only American-made, purpose-built accessible vehicle for wheelchair users, the MV-1, at the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association's (NMEDA) Annual Conference, Feb. 25 -27, 2015, Daytona Beach, Fla., booth 613.

"Mobility Ventures is proud display the groundbreaking MV-1 at NMEDA's 2015 annual conference," said John Walsh, Mobility Ventures Vice President, Sales and Marketing. "From its inception, NMEDA and its members have been dedicated to expanding opportunities for people with disabilities. We at Mobility Ventures share that same passion and dedication as evidenced by the craftsmanship of each purpose-built, universally accessible MV-1 that rolls off our assembly lines."

While other accessible vehicles are converted to accommodate ramps and wheelchairs, the MV-1 is designed specifically around those who use wheelchairs. With a built-in side-entry ramp, ample head room, and the ability to safely accommodate two wheelchair users at a time—one of whom rides in the front seat passenger position— the MV-1 is redefining accessible transportation options. With more than 110 dealerships in the MV-1 network in the United States and overseas, the MV-1 is expanding choice in transportation for families and taxi, livery and paratransit fleets.

Mobility Ventures' MV-1 remains the only vehicle that is both specifically made for passengers who use wheelchairs and passes the safety requirements that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has established for new passenger vehicles sold in the United States. The MV-1 continues to meet or exceed the federal safety and crash test standards currently in effect for new passenger vehicles with more than 50 successful crash tests performed on the MV-1 to date.

Mobility Ventures' MV-1 is dedicated to transporting all passengers, with or without mobility challenges, making it the perfect solution for both commercial fleets and consumer use.
