World's Largest Car Rental Company Honored by Travel Weekly With Four 'Magellan Awards'

Enterprise Holdings received three Gold and one Silver honor in the Travel Weekly Magellan Awards.

ST. LOUIS -- November 12, 2015: Enterprise Holdings Inc. – which owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands – was recognized by Travel Weekly magazine with four Magellan Awards in the ground transportation categories. The company received a Gold Magellan Award in the luxury car collection, TV commercial and ad campaign categories, and a Silver Magellan Award in the mobile app category.

Enterprise Holdings is the largest car rental service provider in the world as measured by revenue, employees and fleet. Stubblefield, who serves on the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board and co-chairs the Board's Infrastructure subcommittee, also represents Enterprise Holdings on the World Travel and Tourism Council. "The diverse categories for which we've received awards celebrate our companywide commitment to understanding our customers and putting them first, regardless if they are traveling for business or leisure," he added.

Enterprise Holdings' award-winning entries are:

Luxury Car Collection Category – Gold: Honors car rental companies that offer travelers an opportunity to experience the style of luxury vehicle rentals. The nomination highlighted the Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise for its wide selection of high-end vehicles from premier auto manufacturers, including Ferrari, Bentley, Tesla and more. The judges recognized the Collection for its "white glove" experience, unparalleled customer service, personalized reservations, as well as delivery and collection of vehicle rentals for customers in nearby areas. Today, the Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise is available in more than 20 U.S. locations.

TV Commercial Category – Gold: Recognizes outstanding television advertising in the travel industry. The only one to be recognized in this year's ground transportation category was an Enterprise Rent-A-Car television commercial. In March 2015, Enterprise Rent-A-Car debuted its commercial across North American primetime TV and digital media. Called "Family Reunion," it uses humor to communicate how often Enterprise employees go above and beyond for their customers.

Ad Campaign Category – Gold: Acknowledges the most creative and effective marketing campaigns in the travel industry. National Car Rental's entry highlighted the refreshed "Go Like A Pro" ad campaign launched in November 2014. Combining TV, online, social and mobile video ads, the campaign demonstrates how National puts business travelers in control, offering the efficiency they want and the ability to choose their vehicle and get on the road quickly. National also shared videos across social channels called "A Control Enthusiast's Guide to Life," which offer comedic tips on how true control enthusiasts handle everyday life.

Mobile App Category – Silver: Commends travel companies that enhance the customer experience through mobile technology. The judges recognized recent improvements to the National Car Rental mobile app. With a 4-star rating in Android and Apple stores, the app is ideal for members of National's Emerald Club loyalty program, which offers counter bypass and access to the Emerald Aisle, an exclusive part of the lot for members to select any mid-sized or larger car. With features such as rental tracking, profile management and facility locator, the app provides one place to manage a traveler's rentals. Now with expanded service at select U.S. locations, the app gives members control over vehicle selection when Emerald Aisle isn't available. The Virtual Aisle feature lets members see real-time inventory then reserve the specific car they wish to drive.

The National and Enterprise brands also recently ranked at the top of the 2015 Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards in the car rental category, and were named the top two preferred car rental brands for business travel according to a recent survey by Business Travel News magazine.
