Troy MI and Paris France August 26, 2018; The average American will spend approximately 37,935 hours driving over the course of their lifetime. The amount of time, close to two hours per day, that we spend at the wheel has taken its toll on us. We're more anxious, more depressed and gaining weight faster than ever before.

But, the emergence of autonomous cars, which are equipped with an increasing number of sensors gathering data inside and outside the vehicle, is helping carmakers reimagine the driving experience.

This trend towards hyper-personalization means that the next generation of vehicles will be equipped with technology to measure well-being factors, such as exterior pollution levels and occupant physiology, morphology, heart rate, and body temperature.

These systems will clean the air in the cabin and change temperature, lighting, sound, and fragrance on the basis of each vehicle occupant's mood and physical condition. Using artificial intelligence, they will even come to learn about our habits and preferences, adapt accordingly; and store this collected data so that it can follow the us from vehicle to vehicle.
