GM Financial Extends Customer Loyalty Lead Among Captive Lenders to Three Consecutive Years

FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GENERAL MOTORS FINANCIAL COMPANY, INC. (“GM Financial” or the “Company”), today announced that for the third consecutive year, the company is the leader in overall manufacturer loyalty among captive automotive lenders. This recognition is based on GM Financial analysis of IHS Markit lease and retail return to market manufacturer loyalty data for calendar year 2018.*

For the 2018 calendar year, GM Financial earned the highest manufacturer loyalty rate for returning lessees, as 79% of existing lease customers acquired another GM vehicle. Vehicle owners who financed their original purchase through GM Financial and returned to market during 2018 remained loyal to General Motors at a rate of 68%, the highest manufacturer loyalty rate among manufacturer-owned lenders.
