Israel-American Team Develops Breakthrough Piston Engine

JERUSALEM - October 22, 2019: The Jerusalem Post is reporting on a story about Maymaan Research LLC and their new design for internal combustion engines that will run on fuel that consists only of water and alcohol (ethanol, methanol, isopropanol, etc.) The story states that Maymaan Research has patented a system to operate a traditional piston engine on a fuel blend of 70% water and 30% alcohol, with no gasoline or diesel required. "This revolutionary system can be applied, say its founders, with simple yet sophisticated modifications of existing engine designs, and saves 50% on fuel costs, produces far fewer emissions than gasoline or diesel, and is up to 60% more efficient than gasoline. MayMaan has built four operating prototypes to date, including a car, a generator and various engines. While the company has outgrown its garage-based origins, and has grown into a research laboratory facility, it remains imbued with a start-up spirit."

MayMaan says this about their technology:

This revolutionary process works by converting the water mixture into a powerful and clean-burning fuel within the engine's combustion chamber. When combustion occurs the process pushes the piston down virtually the entire power stroke resulting in a very high torque in a wide range of the engines RPM.

This is ideal for engines that operate between low and mid RPM range, and is a great solution for replacing or retrofitting Diesel / Gasoline engines for cars, trucks and marine applications. This fuel can be stored and delivered in the same fashion as gasoline and diesel without the need for major changes to the existing fueling infrastructure. The fuel is completely safe and costs are substantially lower than gasoline or diesel.
