FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 4, 2020 – The 2020 Hyundai Accent earned the Best Value in America award from Vincentric, the automotive research firm specializing in automotive cost of ownership. This is the second win for the Accent in the subcompact segment.

“From improved fuel economy to a suite of safety and convenience features, the Accent offers an excellent driving and ownership experience,” said Scott Margason, director, product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “This recognition in the subcompact segment underscores our commitment to offering exceptional value across our Hyundai lineup.”

The 2020 Hyundai Accent features a new Smartstream G1.6 Dual Port Injection (DPI) engine and a Smartstream Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), increasing Accent’s EPA estimated fuel economy by 4 MPG combined compared to 2019. Accent can get up to 41 MPG on the highway. It is also available with optional advanced safety technologies including Forward Collision-avoidance Assist, and convenience features such as 7-inch display audio system with Android Auto™ & Apple CarPlay™.

The Vincentric Best Value in America Awards are model-specific honors that determine the best value in each segment. Value is determined using a statistical analysis that incorporates the current market price and total cost of ownership of all 2020 model year vehicles.
