Casey’s Becomes 5,000th Station Selling E85

New offering has lower cost and helps the environment.

ANKENY, Iowa March 24, 2020; A Casey’s store in its headquarters city of Ankeny, Iowa, has become the nation’s 5,000th location to sell Flex Fuel E85, according to the Renewable Fuels Association.

E85 offers significantly lower emissions than traditional fuel and a price advantage to consumers.

“Reaching the 5,000-station mark is a significant achievement for the ethanol industry and our partner in the retail sector,” said Geoff Cooper, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association. “The continued expansion of E85 and other flex fuels is great news for drivers looking for savings at the pump and a way to help the environment. We’re especially happy to see that this notable landmark was reached by our friends at Casey’s, a company that has long been dedicated to making ethanol-blended fuels available to their customers.”

The 5,000th location is Casey’s General Store at 3605 N.W. Irvinedale Dr. in Ankeny, where E85 is selling for about 30% less than regular unleaded 87.
