The 2021 XT4 Sport can be recognized by its gloss black mesh grille with bright metallic accent, satin aluminum window moldings and satin chrome-accented door handles. The door handles are also illuminated. There is abundant advanced LED lighting tech with front LED low- and high-beam headlamps and an LED-illuminated light streak for the daytime running lamps.

As you would expect, the Cadillac brand of high quality and comfort is spread throughout the interior. The ventilated seats my kids call them "bun coolers" were lauded as well as the shiatsu slow rolling massage seat option for both front seats that do not Rolf your back as much as gently loosen a stressed lumber region.

XT4 has Cadillac’s 2.0L Turbo engine. The 237 hp four-cylinder does an admirable job of supplying power, with 258 lb-ft of max torque at 1,500 rpm for quick starts. The XT4 can tow a considerable 3,500 pounds. The Sport driving mode quickens the pace of its shifts for effective freeway merges. There is also a locked all-wheel drive and an Off-Road modes, and the Tour mode. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission featuring next-generation Electronic Precision Shift.

Other notable features include an Air Ionizer removing particulates in the air, a terrific Head-Up Display (which can disappear when you wear polarized sunglasses - but will reappear by cocking your head a bit to either side), an 8-inch-diagonal color reconfigurable gauge cluster, and wireless smart phone charging. Apple CarPlay3 and Android Auto4 phone capability, along with a full compliment of Safety and Driver Assistance tech.

The well styled, and user friendly crossover successfully carves itself a niche in the Cadillac brand.
