Follow The Reality: Essentially No BEV Charging Infrastructure In USA

NETHERLANDS - April 25, 2021: Maarten Vinkhuyzen, writing for Cleantechnica, just published a new article that references another article that he wrote a couple of weeks ago regarding the Dutch intention to install 1.5 MILLION charge points for electric vehicles in the next 9 years (a million private charging points and a million public charging points).

The purpose of this latest story is to shine a light on Joe Biden's woefully inadequate goal of installing just a half-million charge points for the entire United States in the same period of time. The new article is titled "Essentially No BEV Charging Infrastructure In USA."

In the new article, Mr. Vinkhuyzen offers the stark admonishment:

"Please, dear people, do the math. The USA has 20 times the population of the Netherlands and nearly double the cars per capita. Yet, BEV advocates in the USA are happy with the tiny 500,000 chargers the Biden administration thinks is a good idea...The very conservative expectation is to have 2 million BEVs on Dutch roads by 2030. That makes 40 million not unlikely on the roads of the USA."

The upshot of the article is that Joe Biden, et al, will not be able to put enough electric vehicles on the road in the coming years to meet their climate change promises.
