Hyundai North America Names Fullwood as Director of Public Relations and Communications

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 24, 2021 – Hyundai Motor North America has named Sarah Fullwood as the director of public relations and communications. She will support and execute all regional communications and public relations strategies for Hyundai Motor North America, Genesis Motor North America, and Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, in coordination with other affiliates, including the Hyundai Washington D.C. office. Fullwood starts today and reports to Dana White, chief communications officer.

“Sarah’s extensive experience driving change, building teams and managing large, diverse organizations will hasten the growth and performance of both Hyundai, Genesis and the entire North American enterprise,” said Dana White, CCO, Hyundai Motor North America.

Fullwood is a colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, where she has served more than 27 years primarily as a Public Affairs Officer. Her experience includes serving as a Strategic Communications Officer for the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Public Affairs Officer for General James Mattis and more recently as the Senior Military Assistant to Dana White, former Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and the Chief Pentagon Spokesperson for the Department of Defense and Secretary of Defense James Mattis.

Fullwood has extensive experience leading complex operations across a variety of time zones and geographic regions, including as a Battle Watch Captain at the U.S. European Command and as Deputy Director of the Marine Corps Wargaming Division.
