LONG POND, PA -

WARD BURTON (#22 MBNA Grand Prix) - "The weather cooled off quite a bit, and
my car got tight all the way around. It wasn't the same car that I had during
practice. But that's the best qualifying run of the season for us. I'm proud
for my guys."

KYLE PETTY (#44 Hot Wheels Grand Prix) - "That was a good lap. The car drove
good. We've been 28th or 29th fastest ever since we've been here and we can't
get any better. We'll have to figure something out. We'll race good. We've
just got to get qualified. We've struggled up here in qualifying the last
couple of races. We've got a brand new Pontiac and it's driving really good.
We've just got to get it up to speed."

BOBBY LABONTE (#18 Interstate Batteries Grand Prix) - "That's about all we've
got right now. We've been looking for a little speed and we haven't got it.
It seems like it's going to race real good but you always say that when you
don't qualify good. We'll stick with that story and go into Sunday."

JOHNNY BENSON (#30 Pennzoil Grand Prix) - "We were hoping to go faster than
that, but we're a little tight, especially off turn three. I think we can get
better."

CHAD LITTLE (#97 John Deere Grand Prix) - "I think I need some more time
here. It's a difficult track. We've made some great improvements since we've
been here. That's the fastest we've run by more than a tenth. We did make
some improvements. We just need to make some more still. The car is a little
tight, especially in turn three. The driver needs to improve, too. It's been
awhile since I've driven here, and it's been repaved and we're running
different tires."

DERRIKE COPE (#36 Skittles Grand Prix) - "We've struggled all day. We really
haven't been all that good. I drove her down a little hard in the tunnel
turn, and I slid almost to the fence. I had to get out of the gas. I messed
up through the tunnel turn. It was a decent lap. We'll go racing."
