Newport Beach Summer '97 Auction & Show 
is the First Auto Auction to be seen Live on the Internet

        LOUISVILLE, KY & SACRAMENTO, CA; July 2, 1997 -- A preliminary
list of the vehicles to be offered at the "Newport Beach Summer '97
Classic Car Auction & Show" has been released, and it includes two
highly desirable Duesenbergs, a full frame-up restored Bugatti, and
several rare examples of Rolls Royce and Mercedes Benz.

        Respectively, the lead cars are a 1932 Duesenberg Willoughby
Berline, Long Wheelbase Limousine; 1933 Duesenberg J. Rollston Torpedo
Victoria, One-Off Design by Gordon Buehrig; 1937 Bugatti Type 57
Ventoux; 1966 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Continental Mulliner Park
Ward LHD Drophead Coupe, last of the Coachbuilt Silver Cloud Era
Convertibles; 1957 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I Mulliner Drophead Coupe,
1 of Only 13 Built; 1965 Mercedes Benz 230 SL Roadster, formerly Owned
by John Lennon; 1936 Mercedes Benz 540 Cabriolet B.

        In total, the three day event, July 11th through 13th, will
feature nearly 300 collector cars.  The 'Newport Beach Summer '97
Auction & Show' is presented by Dan Kruse Classic Car Productions of
San Antonio, Texas.


        Bill Maloney, TACH's LA Bureau Chief, and Mark Fulmer, TACH's
Editor-in-Chief, will co-anchor the video coverage.  A live 60 minute
video preview of the vehicles to be sold will be cybercast at 1pm PDT
on Friday, July 11th.  The auction itself will commence on Saturday,
July 12, at 10am PDT, and continue Sunday, July 13, at 10am PDT.  The
auction and preview cybercasts will be accessible through both The
Auto Channel at "http://www.theautochannel.com" and through the Dan
Kruse Classic Car Productions' website at "http://www.dkccp.com".

        Internet users who wish to watch this history making coverage
will need the VXtreme player software, which is available free and can
be downloaded from the VXtreme website at "http://www.microsoft.com/netshow/vxtreme/software.htm".
Installation is completed quickly and easily into both Netscape and
Explorer browsers.
