Mike Wallace to Drive Precision Products Car at Brickyard

             MIKE WALLACE GETS THE NOD FOR BRICKYARD 400


DENVER, NC - Mike Wallace will occupy the driver's seat of the
Presicion Products Racing entry for the 4th annual NASCAR Winston Cup
Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

According to Richard Jackson, owner of the #1 R&L Carriers Pontiacs,
the agreement with Wallace is for this weekend only. Lance Hooper is
slated to drive the team's Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International
for the August 10 running of The Bud at the Glen.

Jackson's plans for the remainder of the 1997 season are undecided.
