Pennzoil 200 at Loudon Has Full IRL Field

The seventh race on the IRL 1997 calendar takes place this Sunday (ABC-TV, 4pm) at the super fast 72,000 seat one mile banked New Hampshire International Raceway. There are 39 cars entered and some are back up cars.

Points leader Tony Stewart will be piloting his Menard owned G-Force Aurora. This will be the first race since the 1997 Indy 500 where the drivers are returning to a familiar circuit. Pennzoil driver, Roberto Guerrero says he likes the traditional mile they call "the magic mile" and hopes to do well.

The purse for the Pennzoil 200 is $1.3 million and the hot contenders besides points leader Stewart are Visionaire 500 winner Buddy Lazier and True Value 500 winner, Arie Luyendyck.
