KENNY SCHRADER NOTES & QUOTES: ITW DEVILBISS 400

BROOKLYN, MI - "We're looking to improve our finish at MIS. In June, we had
problems in the pits that hurt us, but we have solved the problems and should
be a major contender this weekend."---Kenny Schrader, driver of the Skoal
Bandit Racing Chevrolet

The last victory for the Skoal Bandit Racing team came five years ago on
August 16, 1992 at Michigan Speedway with NASCAR great, Harry Gant who became
the oldest driver to win a Winston Cup race at the age of 52 years, 219 days.
At the time, Gant was driving for Leo Jackson, Andy Petree was the crew chief
and Terry Satchell was an engineering consultant. Both Petree and Satchell
have returned to Skoal Bandit Racing with the desire to return to victory
lane. They added a new element with driver Kenny Schrader.

The Skoal Bandit Racing team will be utilizing the same car they ran earlier
this year at Texas and Michigan. It has been named "Jonnie Ringo," after the
famous gun fighter. The spelling has been altered to celebrate the birth of
Jonnie Leigh Petree, daughter to Andy and Patrice Petree, who was born on
Tuesday, August 12 at 5:20 pm. She weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces. Andy Petree
will celebrate his 39th birthday on Friday, August 15.

In 26 career starts at Michigan Speedway, Schrader has posted five top-10
finishes. He also started from the pole in the 1989 Miller 400 and the 1993
Champion 400.

Schrader will be making an appearance at the bone marrow donor drive at the My
Friends Care hospitality tent on Saturday, August 16, 1997.
