Mattei Motorsports Hires Brewer as Team Manager

HARRISBURG, NC - Mattei Motorsports owners Jim Mattei and John Porter, along 
with Geoff Bodine announced today at Michigan Speedway they have hired Tim 
Brewer as the team manager for the QVC Racing Team. 

Brewer will coordinate the development of the race team and assist crew chief 
Pat Tryson in race-related activities for the #7 QVC Ford.

"We recruited Tim to reorganize the racing side of our business," said 
Mattei. "Geoff and Tim worked together in the past and had very impressive 
results. Tim's experience will help build this into a stronger team and take 
the QVC Ford to victory lane again."

Brewer has been a crew chief on the Winston Cup circuit since 1973. In 
addition to Bodine, Brewer has also worked with drivers Richard Childress, 
Cale Yarborough, Darrell Waltrip, Tim Richmond, Neil Bonnett, Davey Allison, 
Terry Labonte, Bill Elliott, Bobby Labonte, John Andretti and Sterling 
Marlin. He has two Winston Cup Points Championships, in 1978 with Cale 
Yarborough and in 1981 with Darrell Waltrip. He finished third in the 1990 
standings with Bodine. Brewer has earned nearly $12 million in 24 years as a 
crew chief on the Winston Cup circuit.
