Chevy Wins NASCAR BGN Manufacturer's Points Race

          CHEVROLET CLINCHES BUSCH MANUFACTURERS CHAMPIONSHIP

BROOKLYN, MI - Steve Park's victory in Saturday's Detroit Gasket 200 at 
Michigan Speedway has clinched the second straight NASCAR Busch Series Grand 
National Division Bill France Performance Cup for Chevrolet.

Chevy leads Ford 173-130 with eight races remaining on the 1997 series 
schedule. With a five-point swing the maximum for each race, Chevrolet wraps 
up its fifth manufcaturers championship in six seasons. 

Chevrolet has also posted the most victories with 15 wins through the first 
22 races. Ford has recorded six wins while Pontiac has one.
