BRISTOL, TN - The #29 Cartoon Network NASCAR Winston Cup Chevrolet Monte
Carlo that Jeff Green will pilot this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway is
the same car that was involved in an accident at Dover Downs in June. The
car has been completely reconstructed and the team feels positive about its
potential.
- "I have many memories at Bristol," said Jeff Green. "1991 was the first
time I raced at Bristol. We qualified fourth, but were forced to pit when my
window net came down during the race. I also remember driving Michael
Waltrip's Busch car in 1994. We were considered underdogs. We showed up with
an open-trailer behind Ronnie Silver's truck. We ended up qualifying 12th and
finishing third. It was great."
- Jeff Green has two seconds, four top-fives and five top-ten finishes at
Bristol Motor Speedway.
- Jeff Green will be signing autographs at the Food City Family Race Night on
State Street in Bristol on Thursday, August 21, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
