#37 Mark Green, Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division Food City 250 Advance Bristol Motor Speedway MARK GREEN NOTES & QUOTES: FOOD CITY 250 Mark Green's Bristol Motor Speedway NASCAR Busch Series Results DATE START FINISH MONEY WON STATUS LAPS 4/12/97 14 40 4,000 Accident 49 of 250 - Traditionally, teams struggle in the final 10 races of the season, but don't try to tell that to Mark Green and the Timber Wolf/Brewco Motorsports team. After experiencing a string of misfortunes during mid-season, Green and the Timber Wolf team have been making a steady charge towards the front, resulting in one top 10 and five top 15 finishes in the past six events. They are currently 13th in the series point standings, 156 points out of 10th place. "As unusual as it may sound, our lack of experience may be allowing us to excel in the final races of 1997," explained Green, a resident of Owensboro, Kentucky. "Both the crew and I are competing in our first full season in a touring series. The only experience we have is trying to get the Timber Wolf car to front. We don't know anything else. Each week we are learning something new and I feel it is helping us to succeed." - Mark Green is driving the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo named 'Stanley' in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the same car he raced in the Moore's Snacks 250 on April 12. It is also the same car which he attempted to qualify in 1996 at BMS. "We brought the same car back to Bristol which we used in 1996 and earlier this season," said Green. "On both occasions we crashed. As the saying goes, 'The third time's a charm.' Hopefully, it will be the case here." - Mark Green will sign autographs on August 28 at the Piggly Wiggly supermarket on 1945 W. Palmetto Street in Florence, South Carolina from 4:00-6:00 pm. The No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo show car will also be on hand. - Double Kwik, headquartered in Wise, Virginia, is an associate sponsor on the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The convenience store chain has 56 locations throughout Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky.
