MARTINSVILLE, VA - The following provided by Chevrolet Motor Division,
General Motors Corporation Public Relations:

BOBBY HAMILTON (#51 Southern Pride Trucking Chevrolet) - Started 14th,
finished 5th - "We had a good truck and we had a good time. I just couldn't
race much -- kept getting hot in traffic. We'd go after it for awhile then it
would get too hot and we'd have to back off and let it cool down. The old
truck done good and I'd like to thank Chevrolet, Goodyear and everybody.
Everybody did a good job -- we didn't have to touch the brakes once the whole
day.

JAY SAUTER (#3 GM Goodwrench Service Plus Chevrolet) - Started 33rd, finished
7th - "These Goodwrench guys gave me an excellent truck. We just had to be
careful. It wasn't perfect but they kept on working on it. I tried to stay
out of trouble and we wound up in the top ten."

JACK SPRAGUE (#24 Quaker State Chevrolet) - Started 8th, finished 10th -
Involved in accident with Rick Carelli on lap 248. - "It was a bad day, I
guess, but it could have been worse. It looked like we were going to get out
of here with a fifth-place finish which would have been great.

"Rick (Carelli) blew a tire, I guess, and he came off the wall and collected
me pretty hard and I ended up tenth. Now we get to go on a road course and
I've been able to gain points on road courses...so maybe we can do it again.

BUTCH MILLER (#20 Orleans Hotel and Casino Chevrolet) - Started 18th,
finished 6th - "We lost something over night and we haven't figured it out.
We had *the* fastest truck in last night's practice session and it didn't
continue on today and we don't know why. We were probably three-quarters of a
second faster than we ran all day long. We were a little disappointed at that
but happy."

JAMIE SKINNER (#93 Llumar Window Films Chevrolet) - Started 9th, finished
30th - Retired the truck on lap 177 with a broken axle. - "I like it a whole
lot! This Chevrolet was hooked up today. I just tried to stay on the lead lap
and wait 'tile the last fifty laps to try to do anything. It's unfortunate
for us...not finishing, but we will just try it again."

RON HORNADAY (#16 NAPA Brakes Chevrolet) - Started 4th, finished 32nd -
Broken rear end gear - "I don't know what happened but it wasn't what I
thought it was. About 20 laps into the race, I started getting some smoke.
About 30 laps in, I started to lean on it to catch the leaders it and it
started vibrating. I guess we lost a belt off the rear end. We'll try to get
it back together and get some laps in."
