NASCAR Fines Rusty Wallace $5,000

CONCORD, NC - Rusty Wallace has been fined $5,000 for comments he made during a post-race interview following Monday's Hanes 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

Wallace was leading the race under caution with twenty-three laps remaining in the 500-lap event when he was black-flagged for jumping the restart. The driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford was issued a stop 'n go penalty and finished 15th, the final competitor on the lead lap.
