Patty Moise Announces Return to Full-Time NASCAR BGN Series Raccing for 1998

5 October 1997

CONCORD, NC - NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division driver Patty
Moise announced her return to the series full-time in 1998 in a press
conference at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 3. Moise will drive
the No. 14 Ford Taurus owned by Winston Cup regular Michael Waltrip
with sponsorship from Rhode Furniture.

The agreement with the Atlanta-based company is for two years, a fact
that greatly pleased Moise. "I'm excited," she exclaimed. "This is the
first time in my career that a sponsor has stepped up from the get-go
with a multi-year deal. This is a great opportunity for me."

The team will be based in the Michael Waltrip, Inc. shop located in
Sherries Ford, NC. Veteran crew chief Ronnie Silver will oversee the
program while engines will be supplied by Roush Racing.

Moise has participated in the Busch Series for the last 11 years on a
limited basis and has amassed 115 starts and three top-10
finishes. Her lone start in 1997 came at Dover Downs International
Speedway in June.
