Greg Sacks to Drive #40 Coors Light Chevy at Talladega this Weekend

9 October 1997

MOORESVILLE, NC - Greg Sacks will pilot the No. 40 Coors Light
Chevrolet this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.

The 44-year old driver, who started the 1997 season with the
now-defunct Rainier/Walsh Racing team, drove the Team SABCO Monte
Carlo in June at Pocono Raceway when Robby Gordon was sidelined by
injuries sustained in the Indianpolis 500. Sacks was involved in an
accident on the seventh lap of the Pocono 500 and finished 42nd. He
and the team failed to qualify for the Miller 400 at Michigan Speedway
the following weekend.

Busch Series standout Elliott Sadler was unable to put the Coors Light
entry into the field for last weekend's UAW-GM Quality 500 at
Charlotte Motor Speedway just days after Gordon and Team SABCO parted
company.

Sacks will be retained on a race-by-race basis for the remainder of
the season.
