FONTANA, CA - "I enjoy going to new tracks," said McLaughlin. "It makes the
whole experience new and exciting."
- "We have not had the opportunity to test at California, so basically we
are going on gathered information from teams that participated in the Cup race
earlier this year," expressed McLaughlin. "I heard that it is an awesome
facility. From a track standpoint, I understand that it is fast and tight.
People have mentioned that the cars tend to push a little."
- McLaughlin is currently in sixth place in the NASCAR Busch Series point
standings. He trails fifth position by 19 points.
- The #34 Royal Oak Charcoal Chevrolet that McLaughlin will drive this
weekend is the same car that was victorious in New Hampshire earlier this
year.
