Pikes Peak to Host a NASCAR BGN Series Race in 1998

FOUNTAIN, CO - Pikes Peak International Raceway will host its first NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division event on June 14, 1998. The announcement was made today from the 1-mile, D-shaped oval located 70 miles south of Denver, CO by track and NASCAR officials. The track, which opened just this year, has hosted several racing divisions including the NASCAR Winston West Series, Indy Racing League, SCCA Trans Am, Western Super Modified, and Rockie Mountain Midgets. The complete 1998 NASCAR Busch Series schedule will be released on a future date.
