ROCKINGHAM, NC - The #29 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that Jeff Green will pilot
this weekend is the same car that logged the fastest lap time during second
round qualifying at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in August.
- The #29 Cartoon Network team tested at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday, October 20-22. "We feel good about our test session,"
said crew chief Wes Ward. "Our times are competitive and Jeff has a good feel
for the car and track."
- Jeff Green and his wife, Michelle, returned to their hometown of
Owensboro, Ky. last week. Green spent seven days deer hunting from his cabin
with friends he nicknamed the "Kentucky Headhunters." Unfortunately, their
efforts went unrewarded, as the group of sportsmen did not bring home a single
"trophy."
- This weekend will mark the first time Green has competed at North Carolina
Motor Speedway in a Winston Cup car. "I think it will only matter for a few
laps," said Green. "Once I get a feel for the car on the track I should be
just fine."
