Tecumseh Motorsports Presents Kart Expo International 1997

20 October 1997

Louisville, KY - TECUMSEH MOTORSPORTS, one of the world's leading manufacturers of 2- and 4-cycle engines, was the title sponsor of the fourth annual Kart Expo International. The event was held in Louisville, KY, at the Commonwealth Convention Center on October 18 & 19. Other major sponsors of the event were: WHITE CHASSIS, a leading race kart manufacturer based in Indianapolis, WELLS CARGO, the trailer industry leader for over 40 years, FAST KIDS, a new national TV series for and about youths in racing with an emphasis on Karting, and Kart Marketing International, the trade magazine for the Karting Industry.

Show promoters Bob Cycon and Darrell Sitarz have created an exciting event for Karting afficionados and their families. The exhibit floor was packed with more than 100 exhibitors representing all aspects of Karting and Racing, from chassis parts to track timing equipment; from race apparel to safety gear. In addition, two full days of seminars with topics ranging from Crisis Management for track owners, to the finer side of a 4-cycle exhaust . . . The two days were replete with information for the Karting enthusiast. There was even a heavily attended workshop on how to acquire and maintain sponsorship. 1994 & 1996 Grand National Kart Champion Danica Patrick was the VIP guest of KMI: she signed autographs and answered questions from her fans on both days.

The 1998 Kart Expo International will be held October 16-17, 1998 at the Commonwealth Convention Center in Louisville, KY. For more information contact Kart Marketing Group, INC. at PO BOX 101 Wheaton, IL 60189, (630)653-7368, FAX (630)653-2637, or on the web at http://www.choicemall.com/kartinfo
