Roush Racing Adds W.W. Grainger as Truck Sponsor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 31 October 1997 Roush Racing Announces Addition of Grainger to Sponsor Craftsman Truck Effort Phoenix Al - Roush Racing announced today that W.W. Grainger, Inc. the leading distributor of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies in North America, has signed on as primary sponsor of its newest truck team to campaign in the 1998 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. NASCAR Northwest Tour standout Greg Biffle will pilot the no. 6 Ford F-150 truck for owner Jack Roush. Said Jack Roush, "I look forward to enhancing our business relationship with Grainger as we partner to produce a winning Craftsman Truck Series Team. I expect that Greg Biffle will develop into a first-class competitor as he helps to take the Grainger name to victory lane and beyond " Wes Clark, Group President of Grainger, said, "As the leader in our industry, Grainger understands the importance of teamwork and speed to staying in front of the competition. Grainger has had some limited involvement in racing in the past by sponsoring a Roush-prepared Ford Mustang in a SCCA Trans-Am competition and the running of an Indy Lights campaign They are excited about making the step up to NASCAR. Biffle, a native of Vancouver, Washington, said, "Having Grainger as a sponsor means a lot more than just the name on the truck.
