TODD BODINE NOTES & QUOTES: JIFFY LUBE MIAMI 300

HOMESTEAD, FL - The Stanley Pontiac that Bodine will utilize this weekend in
Homestead is the same car that Team 34 Racing tested at the Metro-Dade
Motorsports Complex in September.

 - "From our experience at the test, the changes to the track seem like they
will be really good," Bodine said. "The surface is smooth and fast, but it is
totally different than what we've raced on for the past two years."

 - Unfortunately for Bodine, the quest for the 1997 NASCAR Busch Series
Championship was clinched by Randy LaJoie at the North Carolina Speedway on
October 25, 1997 after Bodine was involved in an accident. Bodine presently
stands second in points with Steve Park just 16 points behind.

 - "We knew it was going to be a tight race for the title, but we never
anticipated having a bad second half of the season," Bodine said. "But the
guys have worked hard and we have consistently finished at the front of the
field. It is really hard to be unhappy when you have finished in the top 10 as
many times as this No. 36 Stanley Pontiac has this year."

 - Bodine will be moving up to the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit in 1998 driving
the #35 Tabasco Pontiac, but acknowledges that the NASCAR Busch Series has
played a major part in launching his racing career. "The Busch Series has
basically been my career, and has gotten me to the point where I am right
now," Bodine expressed. "It got me to Winston Cup in three years and I learned
a lot, then I came back to the Busch Series and learned some more. It has been
home for five of the seven years I've been in racing."

 - Bodine spent Tuesday and Wednesday of this week testing his Winston Cup
car at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
