"We are excited about our first venture in NASCAR's Winston
Cup series," said Luis Del Valle, Gumout brand manager. "In addition
to being avid racing enthusiasts, NASCAR fans are known to take great
interest in the maintenance and performance of their personal
vehicles, and many of them rely on Gumout. Consequently, we are
pleased to be able to give something back to race fans and our loyal
customers by sponsoring the Bahari' team."

Bahari' owner Chuck Rider said, "It's exciting to represent Gumout as
our major sponsor in 1998, and we are looking forward to a great
year." Rider noted the Bahari' team, led by Crew Chief Doug Hewitt, is
making some significant changes for next season. "We are starting an
in-house chassis program that we feel will pay dividends during the
season, and our new SB2 engine program will be one of the best in the
sport. Our goal is to put Derrike Cope in Victory Lane and give Gumout
an exciting year."
