Bill Elliott Announces Formation of New Winston Cup Team for 1998

HAMPTON, GA - NASCAR Winston Cup car owner and driver Bill Elliott has announced the formation of a second team for the 1998 season. Elliott along with NFL All-Pro quarterback Dan Marino have joined forces to form Elliott-Marino Motorsports which will campaign Fords driven by Jerry Nadeau. The new team will debut their blue and orange No. 13 Taurus at Daytona International Speedway in February with sponsorship from FirstPlus Financial, Inc., a consumer finance company based in Dallas, TX, Nadeau competed in five Winston Cup Series events in 1997 with Precision Products Motorsports and team owner Richard Jackson and recorded his best finish -- 30th -- in the Pepsi 400 at Daytona in July.
