Full-Time Luxury in the 1998 Luxor

5 December 1997

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Built for full-time luxury, the 1998 Luxor from Winnebago Industries,
Inc. offers the finest quality and value available in diesel pusher
motor homes today. The front entry door; distinctive custom painted,
high-gloss exterior and vertical front-end design provide the Luxor
with the look and feel of a high-line bus. Bus style mirrors also
provide greater rear vision with less head and eye movement, allowing
improved contact with the roadway.

The Luxor has two lavish floorplans for 1998, the 37WQ and 37WP, each
with beautiful interior decor features. Four interior color options
and two interior wood trim and cabinetry choices are available for
1998. Both models feature spacious galley designs with hand-laid
ceramic tile floors, spacious cabinets including a convenient pull-out
pantry, residential microwave/convection oven with fan above the range
top, four-door refrigerator/freezer with icemaker and optional
washer/dryer combination. A central vacuum cleaner is also available.

The 37WQ features a comfortable full-size couch/bed and the choice of
a recliner lounge chair with desk or a three-seat banquette in the
front lounge area. The lavish bath is very roomy with a unique corner
tub and shower. A lavatory sink is also provided in the bedroom.

The 37WP model features a front lounge area with a comfortable
full-size couch/bed and the choice of recliner lounge chair and
pull-out table or a two seat banquette. The bathroom provides a
private bath design with sink and toilet that can be separated from
the rest of the bath that includes a corner tub/shower, additional
lavatory sink and dressing table area.

Built on a reliable Freightliner chassis, the Luxor utilizes an 8.3L
325 h.p. Cummins turbo-charged diesel engine with Allison
'World' 6-speed automatic transmission with 2-speed overdrive
for reliable driving performance.

The Luxor now features a 'Cyclone Air Intake System' that is
up-stream from the air filter and is used to discharge larger dust
particles and dry up moisture prior to entry into the filter, thereby
extending filter life. The Luxor features an Onan quiet diesel
generator with automatic changeover that is conveniently located on a
slideout tray in the front of the motor home for quick and easy
servicing. The three Luxor coach batteries and two chassis batteries
are located adjacent to each other on convenient slideout trays for
easy access. The raised rail chassis provides expansive basement
cargo storage. Two optional back-to-back slideout compartment trays
for storage between the axles slide out on their respective sides of
the motor home for fast and efficient loading.

The Luxor is built for full-timing with an 'R' rating factor of
16.83 for the roof, meaning you'll stay warmer in the winter and
cooler in the summer. Central air conditioning that is ducted through
the roof with dampening, directional vents, directs cooled where it is
needed for maximum comfort. Dual-pane windows provide additional
thermal insulation for both heating and air conditioning and yet are
sized to provide an impressive view.

New features for 1998 include a larger 10-gallon gas/electric water
heater with motoraid for warming the water from the heat of the engine
while you're on the road. A convenient service center provides
access to hookups for cable TV, telephone, shoreline power and sewer
systems. A new black water holding tank flushing system has been added
as a standard feature with a connection in the service center to
simplify the cleaning process. A power digital satellite system is
also now available.

The Luxor has a one-piece fiberglass roof, which adds structural
integrity and doesn't expand and contract, or tear like rubber
membranes. The fiberglass roof is backed by a 10-year parts and labor
warranty, while the fiberglass sidewall material is also covered by a
10-year warranty.

Service after the sale is important to Winnebago Industries. In
addition to the standard 12 month/15,000 mile bumper to bumper
warranty, there is a limited warranty on lamination for 3 years/36,000
miles. Every new owner of a 1998 Luxor automatically receives a free
one-year membership in the Preferred Care Program which provides
24-hour customer assistance and emergency road service throughout the
United States and Canada. Winnebago Industries also provides
toll-free assistance for both owners and dealers to obtain technical
service information.
