IRL Tests at Walt Disney World End Prematurely Due to Rain

RAIN ENDS INDY RACING LEAGUE OPEN TEST AT 
WALT DISNEY WORLD

For Immediate Release

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA., December 12, 1997 -- Continuing heavy rainfall in
the Orlando area forced the Indy Racing League to end open testing at Walt
Disney World Speedway today, with no on-track activity to report. The
forecast in the Orlando area calls for heavy rains to continue throughout
the weekend.
Private team testing will continue next week at the Walt Disney World
Speedway. The teams are preparing for the 1998 season-opening Indy 200 at
Walt Disney World presented by Aurora. The race weekend will run from January
22 - 24 and tickets are available at Ticketmaster by calling 407/839-3900.
