NASCAR Trucks: Hensley Returns With Cummins Dodge

18 December 1997

San Francisco CA - Another team unchanged for 1998 is the Richard Petty Motorsports #43 Cummins Dodge, to be driven once again by Jimmy Hensley. Hensley, a veteran of NASCAR's Busch Series Grand National Division and Winston Cup Series, in addition to the Craftsman Truck Series, was consistently a front-runner during 1997 and placed eighth in the final points standings, the highest rank achieved by a Dodge driver.

"Jimmy Hensley and the whole team did a great job this year," said team owner and NASCAR legend Richard Petty. "They won a couple of poles and challenged for the win several times. I was very pleased with the way the season went - the team improved three positions in the final championship standings from 1996, and hopefully 1998 will be our year to shine."
