Hawkins Motorsports Announces Alliance With Local Teams

Vacaville, Ca - Hawkins Motorsports announced today their association with A-1 Autobody and All-Points Petroleum to field a trio of "360" Pacific Sprint cars for 1998. All three Vacaville based teams will be racing for the point series championship at the Placerville, Ca. Speedway."By working together we can help each other at the track with chassis setup, buy parts and equipment at a volume rate making everyone?s dollars go further, and triple the amount of exposure for everyone," said Ty Hawkins, owner/driver for Hawkins Motorsports. " We are looking forward to a very competitive season."
Joey Magaruh will steer the A-1 Autobody sprinter owned by he and his father, Joe. In 1997 Joey ran a limited schedule at Placerville and finished up the year 12th in points in his first full season in the car. The A-1 team also has a second car for Joe to drive at selected events in 1998.
Ron Myska will debut in his rookie season as an owner/driver of his All-Points Petroleum car. Rons previous on track experience include open track events at Sears Point and Laguna Seca Raceway in his Mach 1 and Saleen Mustang. In 1997 Ron attended the Jimmy Sills Sprint Car School and had so much fun he decided to purchase a sprint car.
Ty Hawkins will enter his fifth season behind the wheel of the family owned machine. Ty has spent the last two seasons racing with the extremely competitive California Civil War Series at tracks throughout Northern California. This will be his teams first effort at running for a track points championship.
