Cornelius, NC -- All Pro/Bumper to Bumper, Inc., one of the nations leading auto parts and service suppliers, has become an associate sponsor of NASCAR veteran Jimmy Spencer. The All Pro/Bumper to Bumper name will be prominently displayed on the #12 NASCAR Busch Grand National race cars driven by Spencer in ten events during 1998. Additionally, All Pro/Bumper to Bumper will again be the primary sponsor on the #12 All Pro/Bumper to Bumper Chevrolet driven by Spencer during the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper 300 NASCAR Busch Grand National series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Were very excited to increase our NASCAR involvement with Jimmy Spencer and his Busch Grand National race team, said Roger McCabe, president of All Pro/Bumper to Bumper, Inc. When Jimmy Spencer drove the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper Chevrolet to Victory Lane during the 1997 All Pro/Bumper to Bumper 300 in Charlotte, we knew we had really picked a winner- a driving personality that exemplifies the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper winning spirit. This added sponsorship program with Jimmy increases our chances of regularly bringing our customers to Victory Lane. When All Pro/Bumper to Bumper wins, our customers win.

The 1997 All Pro/Bumper to Bumper 300 was full of action packed, hard charging excitement as Spencer battled Mark Martin lap after grueling lap to the finish line. A late pit stop saw the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper Chevrolet work its way from the back of the field to take the lead with only 20 laps to go. Martins Winn Dixie Ford had been running up front from the race midpoint, but Spencer finessed the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper car around him and treated the crowd to a royal battle for the lead to the checkered flag, with Spencer bringing the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper Chevrolet to victory by just inches over Martin.

Jimmy Spencer has a long and illustrious history with NASCAR racing, entering the upper NASCAR echelons full time in 1988 in the Busch Grand National Series, after much success in the NASCAR Winston Modified series, where he earned the moniker Mr. Excitement. Spencer competed in the Busch series through 1988 and 89 before moving up to Winston Cup in 1990. Since entering the NASCAR Winston Cup ranks, Spencer has posted two races wins, and has accumulated almost $5 million in career earnings. Jimmy Spencer currently drives the #23 Winston Ford Taurus owned by Travis Carter in Winston Cup competition.

In addition to his Winston Cup driving duties, Spencer continues to compete in the NASCAR Busch Grand National series in a car he both owns and drives. Spencer Motor Ventures, Inc. is housed in Mooresville, North Carolina- a city affectionately known as Race City USA- and his team is a family operated unit. Spencer continues to race approximately ten-twelve NASCAR Busch Grand National races per year, and has enjoyed much success in this NASCAR series. 1997 saw Spencer in Victory Lane twice- once earning the first-place trophy in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway, and the second time winning the prestigious All Pro/Bumper to Bumper 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

We are very happy to have All Pro/Bumper to Bumper with us as major associate sponsors on our Busch team, said Spencer. It was a thrill to win the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper 300 in the All Pro/Bumper to Bumper car, and I am looking forward to winning more races with All Pro/Bumper to Bumper. We have already proven that we are a winning combination!

The 1998 All Pro/Bumper to Bumper 300 is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00pm eastern time. Watch for Mr. Excitement Jimmy Spencer and the #12 All Pro/Bumper to Bumper Chevrolet- Hint: Theyll be at the front of the field.
