Prior to heading to Nashville Speedway USA, Mark Green and the Timber Wolf/Brewco Motorsports team took a short detour to Peachstate Speedway in Jefferson, Georgia. On March 12, Green tested the same No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo he is driving at Nashville this weekend. "We were mainly trying to find a more consistent race setup to help the car on long runs," said crew chief Kenneth Campbell. "We chose Peachstate Speedway because it is a half mile, slightly banked track with a rough surface, just like most of the short tracks we race on. This test will not only help us at Nashville, but will also carry over to all short track races and even some intermediate tracks like North Carolina Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway."
Owensboro, Kentucky resident Mark Green was a regular weekly competitor in the late model division at the Nashville Speedway USA from 1990-1995.
Mark Green, Hermie Sadler, Buckshot Jones and Mark Martin are the only four drivers to have completed every lap in the 1998 NASCAR Busch Series season.
Discount Tobacco Outlets is an associate sponsor on the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the Bellsouth Mobility/Opryland 320 at Nashville Speedway USA.
