20 March 1998

PHOENIX, Ariz -- Larry Foyt, son of four-time Indy 500 Champion A.J. Foyt, was admitted into St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix in good condition following a U.S. F2000 National Championship testing crash at Phoenix International Raceway.

Foyt, of Houston, Texas, hit the wall in turn two of the one-mile oval, and will likely be released Friday morning, according to Dr. Henry Bock, Indy Racing League Director of Medical Services.
