Brazilian Racing News: The Sperafico Twins (Sudam F-3)
8 April 1998
The Sperafico Twins, who made the headlines during the second race of the 1998 Sudam F-3 season, may not take part in the Brazilian races of this season. This would happen because CBA (governing body for Brazilian Racing) will not give the required license for the drivers. They dominated British F-Ford Championship last season, finishing 1st and 3rd in the points, and they made great races in Temuco and Parana. Rodrigo finished both times 4th while Ricardo was 2nd in his 2nd ever F-3 race in Parana. Nelson Piquet said in an interview that this is not a surprise for him. "I raced all my F-1 races with a British driver's license because the CBA didn't give the international license. I had to make an exam with RAC in London to get my license in the late 70's, and that is the same license I renewed every year." Marc Zimmermann -- The Auto Channel
