Vancouver f1600 - Marybeth Harrison to Drive in Season Opener

1998 Race Season Opener
to Feature Female Driver,
Marybeth Harrison

Road racing in the Vancouver Canada starts this weekend with a full
schedule that includes GT, improved production and vintage cars, as well
as the open wheeled Formula 1600's that will feature local driver
Marybeth Harrison.

Marybeth will be driving the Fountain Tire Racing Euroswift in her first
fight for the Canadian Formula Drivers Association Championship.

Although unable to get any pre-season testing in, Marybeth was able to
log almost three hours of track time as part of her PPG Pace Car Driving

responsibilities at this past weekend's CART FedEx Championship Series
in Long Beach.

"I was very thankful to have the chance to get behind the wheel before
this weekend's race," states Marybeth. "I'm hoping it'll help calm some
of my pre-race jitters!"

As for the 110 hp. F1600 its as race-ready as possible. "We've gone to
great lengths to prepare the race vehicle," states Marybeth's crew
chief, Marty Knoll of MK Technologies. "We're hoping the hard work will
pay off with a great result."
