ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series and Pate Manufacturing Gather Speed

Hamilton, Ohio--News from ARCA's head office and premier truck builder Pate Manufacturing indicate that the fledgling ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series is rapidly picking up speed. Details of the series, that was announced late in 1997, are slowly being announced. Most recently ARCA announced four exhibition dates including a televised event during the 1998 season. Additionally series truck builder, AJ Pate announced that his company, Pate Manufacturing had seen twelve trucks roll through their facility by the end of March.

In a recent press release ARCA officials indicated that the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series is right on cue to debut during the 1998 season. An exhibition schedule was released that includes five events in three states for the 1998 season. Flat Rock Speedway in Flat Rock, Michigan will host the trucks on July 4th in conjunction with the Pro-4 Series. Additional combination dates for the trucks and Pro-4 cars include Shady Bowl Speedway on August 22nd, Winchester Speedway on September 7th, Flat Rock Speedway on September 20th and Columbus Motorspeedway on October 10th.

The ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series is right on cue to debut this season after officials of the Automobile Racing Club of America have announced the release of the 1998 exhibition schedule which will include five events in three states, while the 1998 Lincoln Welders Pro-4 Series will see action in eight events in three states and Canada in its final season. As announced previously, the ARCA Pro-4 Series will evolve into the ARCA Truck Series effective for the 1999 championship season. The September 20th ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck exhibition race at Flat Rock Speedway on September 20th will be aired on a tape delayed basis on Speedvision.
