BRASELTON, Ga., April 23 -- Panoz Motor Sports is pleased to announce the addition of Raul Boesel to its U.S. sports car racing team.

"We are very happy to have Raul aboard the Visteon/Panoz Racing Team," says Don Panoz, founder and owner of Panoz Motor Sports. "He is an exceptional sports car driver and an asset to Panoz Motor Sports."

Boesel, who drove for Panoz at this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona, will drive the #5 Visteon/Panoz GTR-1 at the Nevada Grand Prix partnered with Eric Bernard. He will pilot the GTR-1 in selected races for the rest of the 1998 season.

"I am glad to be back with Panoz," said Boesel. "I had a great experience with the team at the Daytona 24 Hours. The Panoz Motor Sports team is top quality and I am elated to be a part of the team."

According to Tony Dowe, managing director, Panoz Motor Sports, Boesel is a welcome addition to Panoz. "Raul driving the GTR-1 confirms Panoz Motor Sports' commitment to sports car racing and bolsters our already strong driver lineup," he said.

Boesel is also glad to again be working with Tony Dowe, "Tony and I have a great history -- we won the sports car championship together in 1987 with TWR Jaguar. He's very professional."

In addition to his duties with the Visteon/Panoz Racing Team, Boesel will continue to drive the McCormack Motorsports G-Force/Infiniti in the 1998 IRL Championship.
